The Gibney Family Foundation of Idaho grant will help provide new resources to Northwest Children’s Home Education Center.
Idaho foundation names Northwest Children’s Home a recipient of a two year pledge for special education.
Northwest Children’s Home received a 2-year grant commitment from The Gibney Family Foundation, which provides the NCH Education Center with funding for technology, professional development and curriculum.
Director of Development Hy’D Andrews said this type of generosity will make a world of difference in the way teachers teach. The money will fund five smart-classrooms, purchase new curriculum and provide training for teachers.
The donation will be given out over the next two-years, with the first check for $50,000 received in September 2014. The foundation hopes their gift will spark other donors to do the same, making smart-classrooms for all of the classrooms a possibility.
