The recreation department enriches the lives of our residents by providing an array of recreational outings, large muscle activities, and arts and crafts.
These recreational experiences promote learning new ways to utilize leisure time by teaching kids new coping skills and offers opportunities to build healthy relationships. During a normal week, each program has four hours of recreation, and during the summer, 14 hours of swimming. Additionally, on a rotating basis each program is offered special day-length activities like fishing, canoeing, hiking, mining for garnets, and tubing. The recreation department strives to integrate our youth back into the community by utilizing their leisure time in ways that improve their functional abilities and quality of life.
